BPL Mobile has rolled out its mobile TV service in partnership with ZTE Corporation. Under the agreement, ZTE has provided BPL with the technology to make mobile TV possible on a GSM platform. As part of the revenue-sharing agreement, ZTE will get under 50 per cent of the revenue from the service, which is expected to be Rs 4-Rs 5 million per month after six months of service rollout. The service is available to all BPL subscribers who have WAP-enabled handsets, at a rate of Rs 5 per minute of use.
