UK-based visual browser service provider, Blippar is planning to partner with about 50 companies in India by October 2015, by supporting them in offering digital marketing campaigns with rich content. Blippar uses augmented reality (AR) technology, which allows smartphone users to print advertisements and product information by pointing their devices’ cameras at certain objects.
The company is also looking at introducing a solution that will work on mobile handsets with low Internet speed. Apart from this, Blippar is also in discussion with telecom operators and handset makers in India in order to reach out to a larger base of smartphone users.
At present, Blippar has over 50 million users and over 50 million global interactions. It has presence in the US, the UK, Spain, Turkey, Japan, Netherlands, Benelux countries and has conducted projects across other countries as well.
