Lumina CloudInfra, a data centre platform owned and managed by Blackstone’s Real Estate and Tactical Opportunities funds, plans to invest more than $300 million to develop a hyperscale data centre campus in Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
The data centre, with a capacity of over 60MW of critical IT load, will be set up on a 6.3-acre land parcel in two phases. The first phase of construction is expected to commence soon and is likely to be completed by 2025. This will be Lumina CloudInfra’s first data centre investment in India, which is expected to drive the institutional investor’s efforts to deepen its data centre presence in Asia.
In addition, the company is also looking to set up its second data centre in Mahape, Navi Mumbai.
