Broadband India Forum (BIF) has announced the appointment of Alka Selot Asthana, global head, regulatory, Tata Communications Limited, as the new vice president of BIF at its 18th annual general meeting held on November 25, 2025
T.V. Ramachandran, president, BIF welcomed Asthana’s induction into the leadership, noting that her extensive regulatory expertise and experience across global communication systems as a powerful addition to the BIF’s leadership. Selot brings over 30 years of leadership across the telecommunications sector. TV Ramachandran noted that she will significantly strengthen BIF’s mission of enabling a future-ready, innovation-driven broadband ecosystem for India.
Commenting on her appointment, Asthana expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, noting that BIF’s mission is “close to her heart” and its leadership “truly inspiring.” She added that she looks forward to working with the Forum to advance its goals and strengthen its role as a leading industry think tank.
