Bharti Airtel is planning to list its telecom tower subsidiary, Bharti Infratel, though no definite time line has been set. Bharti Infratel currently provides passive infrastructure services to telecom operators and owns 31,831 towers in 11 circles of India. Infratel also holds 42 per cent share in Indus towers (a joint venture between Bharti Infratel, Vodafone and Airtel). For the quarter ended September 2010, passive infrastructure generated Rs 21.16 billion revenue for Bharti. The company plans a capex of $300-350 million for its tower arm.
