In a $400 million deal spanning three years, Bharti Airtel will outsource a portion of its mobile network management services to Nokia.

Nokia will provide managed services and expand Bharti’s networks to cover Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa, Gujarat, Bihar (including Jharkhand), Orissa, Kolkata, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh (including Chhattisgarh). The company will also deploy wireless application protocol solutions across Bharti’s national network. It will provide consultation and integrate the wireless application protocol gateway into a multi-vendor environment for Bharti.
