The board of Bharti Infratel has reappointed Akhil Gupta as executive chairman of the company, not liable to retire by rotation, for a further term of five years with effect from Au­­gust 1, 2018. Gupta also serves as vice-chairman of the Bharti Group. In addition, he is chairman of the Tower and Infra­structure Providers Association and president of the Telecom Sector Skill Council.
