Bharti-backed OneWeb has appointed Srikanth Balakrishnan as the new chief financial officer.
Prior to this, Balakrishnan was working with Bharti Global where he served as CFO since October 2018. Before that, he was associated with Bharti Airtel as the CFO for seven years.
During his stint at Airtel, the telco engaged in M&As aggressively, grew customer base by five times and expanded operations to 18 countries. Further, he was closely associated with Airtel’s successful launch and scaling up of the Satellite TV business in India and the rapid expansion of Airtel’s Global Business across the globe.
Prior to joining Airtel, Balakrishnan was working with Unilever, where he spent 23 years across various leadership roles in finance, supply chain, and HR in India and UK.
