Bharti Airtel’s Sri Lankan subsidiary, Bharti Airtel Lanka, has signed a $100 million investment agreement with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka to begin operations in the country in 2008.

Bharti Airtel’s Sri Lankan subsidiary, Bharti Airtel Lanka, has signed a $100 million investment agreement with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka to begin operations in the country in 2008.

The agreement is in line with the second phase of the company’s commitment to invest $200 million in Sri Lanka over the next five years. It will enable Bharti to roll out the passive infrastructure necessary to launch services.
