Bharti Airtel has set-up a green data centre in Mumbai.

The data centre has been designed to achieve 1.7-1.75 power usage effectiveness (PUE), a metric used to determine the energy efficiency of a data centre.

The data centre will enable the operator to offer co-location, managed hosting, disaster recovery, remote infrastructure management, application and cloud computing services to small, medium and large enterprises across several verticals in Mumbai.

The data centre has been jointly designed and commissioned with India?s NetMagic Solutions Private Limited and is carrier neutral.

Currently, Bharti Airtel operates seven data centres in National Capital Region, Bangalore, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar and Pune.
