According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the country?s top three operators including Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular have reported highest revenue market share over the last 10 quarters.

The operators have registered encouraging performance by taking measures such as increasing tariffs for voice and data services and doing away with discounted offers. For the period under review, Bharti Airtel improved its market share by 95 basis points taking its revenue share to 30 per cent of the total revenue reported by the industry in the quarter ended June 2013. Vodafone India expanded its revenue share by 40 basis points and its revenue market share stood at 23.4 per cent.

However, operators such as Tata Teleservices Limited, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited and Reliance Communications witnessed a decline in their market share. Further, according to TRAI data, service providers reported gross revenue of Rs 407.59 billion for the quarter ended June 2013.
