
Bharti Airtel has undertaken another internal restructuring exercise for its Indian operations.
The company has chalked out a hub-based organisational structure, wherein in place of the current three regional hubs, the company will be divided into eight hubs, each under a chief executive officer.
All these hubs will come under the purview of Ajai Puri, currently operations director, North and East, who has been appointed as the director, market operations for India. Puri will report to Gopal Vittal, joint managing director and chief executive officer, India.
The operator has also reshuffled its management team. Raghunath Mandava, currently director, operations, West and distribution, has been appointed director, customer experience. Also, Najib Khan, chief marketing officer, Airtel Business, has been appointed as the chief executive officer, homes and office segment. K. Srinivas will take over as director, special projects, from March 4, 2012 onwards.
