Bharti Airtel is reportedly set to scale up its anti-spam initiative with a broader objective of securing all forms of digital connectivity, covering both individuals and devices. The upgraded approach aims to go beyond conventional protection for voice and SMS services, extending security to every aspect of being online.

This includes safeguarding activities such as web browsing, user authentication, and device-to-device communication. The company is also exploring more secure alternatives to traditional one-time passwords (OTPs), which are susceptible to interception. One such solution under consideration is silent authentication using APIs, which enables seamless user verification—especially in areas like banking and financial services, without depending on OTPs, thereby enhancing security.
