Bharti Airtel will invest $25 million in Malawi an African country. These investments will be targeted at expanding the mobile operators? 3G network in the country. Bharti Airtel will also launch Airtel Money services in Malawi.

As per news reports Bharti Airtel will invest another $ 10 million in developing green energy in Malawi by the end of 2012. These fresh investments will further deepen Bharti Airtel?s network in Malawi. Bharti Airtel Money Services will provide users? access to their bank accounts, enable them to send and receive money and pay their utility bills.

Bharti Airtel operates in Africa as Airtel Africa. It has about 53.1 million customers across 17 African countries. For the quarter ended March 31, 2012, Airtel Africa registered revenue of 5,387.4 crore with a loss of Rs 340.6 crore.
