Bharti Airtel has discontinued its 3G services in Kerala and has upgraded 3G customers to 4G.

Earlier, Airtel had discontinued its 3G network in Haryana.

Airtel has re-farmed 2100 MHz band used for 3G in Kerala to strengthen its 4G network. The company is now using a solid spectrum bank across 2300 MHz (TD LTE), 2100 MHz (LTE 2100), and 1800 MHz (FD LTE) to offer 4G services to customers.

However, Airtel’s 2G services will continue to be available in the state to serve the connectivity needs of customers on feature phones.
