Bharti Airtel customers will be able to connect at 4G speed if they have a 4G supported mobile device and 4G SIM cards which are available at Airtel stores across the city. Through the trial offer, Airtel aims to leverage customer feedback and further build on the network, while servicing issues if any.
Further, to expand the availability of 4G mobile devices for customers and build onto the currently nascent 4G devices’ ecosystem, Bharti Airtel has partnered with Flipkart and Samsung. The operator has rolled out 4G data offers for users of Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 mobile devices. Samsung will also offer bundled Airtel 4G SIM cards along with Samsung 4G handsets. Samsung will also be looking at launching its all new Core Prime 4G mobile smartphone in Airtel 4G markets. Meanwhile, non-Airtel customers buying their 4G device from Flipkart will be guided for a smooth transition to the Airtel 4G network.
Earlier in April 2012, Airtel had launched India’s first 4G services in Kolkata. Airtel’s 4G services are now available across India including Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mangalore, Pune, Chandigarh and Amritsar.
