Bharti Airtel has released its integrated annual report for financial year 2024-25 (FY25). The report showed a sharp rise in 5G users, from 72 million to over 135 million year-on-year (YoY) as the company added more than 20,000 new sites and laid over 44,000 km of new fibre. Mobile subscriber growth remained robust in both India and Africa, with 9.3 million new additions.
As per the report, the homes segment grew 21.3 per cent YoY, driven by fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and fixed wireless access (FWA), while average revenue per user (ARPU) rose to Rs 245, up by Rs 36 compared to the last year figure. Airtel prepaid Rs 59.85 billion in spectrum liabilities in March 2025.
Further, India mobile revenue was up 20.6 per cent YoY, with broadband and direct-to-home (DTH) continuing to expand. The business-to-business (B2B) business moderated as Airtel shifted away from low-margin services to focus on higher-value offerings. In Africa, revenue grew 21 per cent in constant currency, and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 18 per cent, despite macroeconomic headwinds.
Further, the report mentioned that a final dividend of Rs 16 per fully paid-up share and Rs 4 per partly paid-up share has been announced, with a record date of July 18, 2025.
The company also reported greater use of renewable energy across sites and data centres, along with deeper digital skill outreach and sustained community engagement.
