Bharti Airtel has raised $250 million through its wholly-owned subsidiary Network i2i Limited via perpetual bonds offering a yield of 5.65 per cent.

The bond issue received interest worth more than $1.5 billion from investors such as Blackrock, Goldman Sachs, ValuePartners and UBS.

These latest securities will be consolidated with the 5.65 per cent bonds issued in October 2019 that raised $750 million.

Earlier, Airtel had stated that the proceeds from the issue will be utilised for pruning its debt.
