Bharti Airtel has launched its ?One Touch Internet? initiative aimed at simplifying internet services for first-time users in India. The initiative is aimed at breaking perception barriers among customers and simplifying the internet for people from across generations and social strata. With this initiative, Airtel attempts to persuade about 160 million subscribers to become active mobile Internet users by reducing hurdles related to cost or technical access.
Airtel?s ?One Touch Internet? is a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) portal designed with a secure and intuitive interface that allows first-time users to discover the internet easily and help them overcome common perception barriers around the mobile data experience. The application comes with free tutorial videos and trial packs for various popular services including social networking, videos, online shopping and travel bookings. The classes also come with free 10-day Internet access.
