Bharti Airtel has introduced 4G service for its subscribers on mobile phones in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. Earlier, customers in the three cities could access 4G services only through dongles.
At present, Bharti Airtel?s 4G services will be accessible on smartphones including Xolo LT 900, LG G2 (model D802T), Apple iPhone 5s (models A1530 and A1518) and iPhone 5c (models A1529 and A1516).
While Bharti Airtel will offer data browsing to users on its 4G network, the operator will route all voice calls on its 2G network.
Earlier, in February 2014, Bharti Airtel had launched 4G services on mobile phones for its subscribers in Bengaluru. Users can access operator?s 4G services in Bengaluru through Apple iPhone 5s or 5c.
