Bharti Airtel has launched 4G service in Kolkata. These services have been launched on a TD-LTE-based network and besides offering rich content, will allow superfast access to video streaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, etc.

These services are also expected to facilitate services such as e-governance, e-health and e-education services.

The company has launched two plans as part of its introductory offer. Valid for 60 days, the Rs 999 postpaid plan enables the customer to get a refund equivalent to one month?s rent, spread over the first six bill cycles. Customers can avail of a Rs 167 discount on each bill.

The Rs 1399 plan enables users to avail of a refund equivalent of two month?s rent, spread over first six bill cycles.

The company bagged BWA license spectrum in Kolkata, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai).
