Bharti Airtel is planning to launch telecom operations in Vietnam by setting up a greenfield company. Vietnam’s telecom sector was recently opened up, with foreign operators being allowed to own up to 49 per cent stake in a domestic telecom company till 2010.
After 2010, entirely foreign-owned companies will be permitted.
