Bharti Airtel is likely to leverage the expertise of Singapore Telecommunication (SingTel), which owns 30 per cent stake in the company, to roll out 3G services in Sri Lanka. The company plans to launch 2G and 3G mobile services in Sri Lanka by September 2008.

This will be Bharti Airtel’s first 3G network rollout.
