Bharti Airtel Hong Kong has launched a communication mobile application called ‘airtel talk’ that allows users to make calls to Indian users at affordable rates. The airtel talk uses 3G or WiFi connectivity to enable high quality voice calls to landlines and mobile at a price of one cent per minute. It also offers services such as free messaging, free video calls and conference calls services. The application is available on Google Play and Apple App Store.
The launch comes as part of the company?s strategy to offer an alternative service to current options like ISD voice-only calls, messenger calls, and calling cards available for customers looking to connect with India. The company has stated that its network infrastructure across its countries of operations and carrier alliances in other geographies will collectively help deliver high quality service for airtel talk users. As an introductory offer the company is offering 10 minutes of free talk time to its airtel talk users.
