Bharti airtel has increased call tariffs by 20 per cent in six major circles, including New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The new tariffs will be applicable for prepaid customers as well.

Tariffs have been raised from Re 0.01 per second to Re 0.012 per second. According to data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the company added 2.12 million mobile subscribers in June, taking its total user base to 169.2 million.

The operator is the fifth-largest mobile operator globally by subscribers and operates in 19 countries in South Asia and Africa.
