Bharti Airtel has announced a 12 per cent hike in its postpaid monthly charges on select plans in the Delhi-NCR region. The increase in charges will be effective from December 3, 2014. With this, the monthly bill for postpaid Airtel services has been revised from Rs 199 per month to Rs 224 per month. However, the revision in monthly charges will have no change in the plan benefits for its customers.
This is the second tariff hike undertaken by the company in the past three months. In September 2014, Airtel had increased the effective mobile internet rates by 33 per cent for its pre-paid customers.
