Bharti Airtel has become the first private player to launch internet protocol TV (IPTV) services under the brand Airtel Digital Television Interactive.

Bharti Airtel has become the first private player to launch internet protocol TV (IPTV) services under the brand Airtel Digital Television Interactive. The customer has to pay Rs 3,999 as a onetime activation charge. There are two price points for IPTV subscribers: Rs 999 per month for 135 channels, a broadband connection and a landline connection; and Rs 599 per month for 117 channels and a broadband connection. The service has been launched in the National Capital Region (NCR) and is likely to be launched in Mumbai and Bangalore soon in a phased manner.
