Bharti Airtel has commenced its 4G trials in the national capital region and has offered its customers a complimentary upgrade to 4G at 3G prices. In its 4G services offered in Delhi, Airtel is leveraging an integrated frequency division duplex (FDD) and time-division duplex (TDD) network. The company has stated that it will assimilate customer feedback on these services and will utilise the initial market response towards strengthening its service experience.

Ericsson is reportedly providing the network for FDD (1800 MHz) while Huawei is providing the TDD (2300 MHz) network. Airtel has also announced go-to-market partnerships with Samsung and Flipkart for its 4G devices. The company?s 4G services are now available across over 30 cities, including Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chandigarh and Amritsar.
