Bharti Airtel has appointed Sunil Taldar as director and chief executive of its direct-to-home (DTH) business. He takes over from Shashi Arora, who has been shifted to Airtel Payments Bank as chief executive after working in Airtel’s DTH business for around five years. In his new role, Taldar will be responsible for driving growth and innovation in Airtel Digital TV, which is a key growth driver of the company’s business-to-consumer portfolio. He has also become a member of Airtel’s management board. Taldar has experience of over 28 years in the FMCG industry and has previously worked with Cadbury.
