Bharti Airtel has announced the appointment of Gopal Vittal as group director, special projects, with effect from April 3, 2012.
Vittal will be responsible for formulating and supporting Airtel?s strategy in international markets and building its data business.
Vittal will join Airtel from Hindustan Unilever, where he was heading the Home and Personal Care Division. He brings with him experience in the areas of business building, marketing, distribution and new product development.
He previously worked with Airtel as director, marketing from 2006 to 2008.
