Bharti Airtel has appointed Badal Bagri as chief financial officer (CFO) of its India and South Asia operations. In this role, Bagri will head Airtel’s finance teams across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to drive the operator’s growth strategy. Prior to this, he was working with Aircel as CFO and has in the past also worked with Micromax. Airtel has also appointed Raj Pudi­peddi as director, consumer business, and chief marketing officer (CMO) of its India operations. Pudipeddi will be respon­sible for driving Airtel’s market share, strengthening the brand and driving customer-centric innovations. He will also be a part of the Airtel management board. Further, Airtel has appointed Rajeev Sethi as chief commercial officer of its Africa operations. Sethi will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of customer-centric commercial strategies across all 15 countries covered by Airtel Africa. In the past, Sethi has worked as CEO, Grameenphone, and as CMO, Telenor India.
