Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications (RCOM) are reportedly in the race to acquire the African subsidiary of Kuwait-based telecom company Zain. French telecom operator Vivendi is also engaged in discussion with the Kuwaiti group for the deal valued at about $12 billion.
