According to the recently released spectrum auction results, Bharti Airtel won the maximum amount of spectrum at 111.6 MHz in different bands, followed by Idea Cellular and Vodafone India at 79.4 MHz and 78.4 MHz respectively. Reliance Communications secured 47.05 MHz of spectrum while Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) won 66.35 MHz of spectrum. Tata Teleservices Limited secured 13.85 MHz of spectrum while Aircel won 10 MHz.

In the 900 MHz band, the maximum amount of spectrum was won by Bharti Airtel (61.2 MHz), followed by Idea Cellular (54 MHz). Meanwhile, in the 1800 MHz band, Idea won the maximum amount of spectrum (20.4 MHz), followed by RJIL (17.6 MHz). The 800 MHz band was allocated to RCOM (26.25 MHz), RJIL (48.75 MHz) and TTSL (11.25 MHz). Further, spectrum in the 2100 MHz band was won by only three operators, Bharti Airtel (35 MHz), Vodafone India (30 MHz) and Idea Cellular (5 MHz).

Following are the details of the total outlay and the circles in which spectrum has been won by telecom operators:

Bharti Airtel: The total outlay for Bharti Airtel is Rs 291.29 billion. The company has won spectrum in the AP, Assam, Bihar, HP, Karnataka, NE, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, WB circles in the 900 MHz band; AP, Haryana, Kolkata, NE, Odisha, Punjab circles in the 1800 MHz band and Gujarat, Haryana, MP, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, UP (E) circles in the 2100 MHz band.

Idea Cellular: The total outlay for Idea Cellular is Rs 302.52 billion. The company has won spectrum in the AP, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, MP, Maharashtra, Punjab, UP (W) circles in the 900 MHz band; HP, Karnataka, NE, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, UP (W) circles in the 1800 MHz band and the Kolkata circle in the 2100 MHz band.

Vodafone India: The total outlay for Vodafone India is Rs 258.06 billion. The company has won spectrum in the Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, UP (E), WB circles in the 900 MHz band; Gujarat, Kolkata, UP (E) circles in the 1800 MHz band and Assam, Karnataka, Kerala, NE, Rajasthan, UP(W) circles in the 2100 MHz band.

RJIL: The total outlay for RJIL is Rs 97.63 billion. The company successfully secured spectrum in the Assam, Bihar, Haryana, HP, J&K, MP, Mumbai, NE, Odisha, UP (E) circles in the 800 MHz band and, spectrum in Haryana, HP, Kolkata, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP (E) circles in the 1800 MHz band.

RCOM: The total outlay for RJIL is Rs 42.90 billion. The company was able to secure spectrum in the Assam, Gujarat, Haryana, HP, J&K, Kolkata, NE, Odisha, Punjab, UP (W), WB circles in the 800 MHz band; HP, MP circles in the 900 MHz band and, Haryana, Karnataka, NE, Odisha, Punjab circles in the 1800 MHz band.

TTSL: The total outlay for TTSL is Rs 78.51 billion. The company won spectrum in the AP, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Mumbai circles in the 800 MHz band and AP circle in the 1800 MHz band.

Aircel: The total outlay for Aircel is Rs 22.50 billion. The company was able to secure spectrum only in the Tamil Nadu circle in the 1800 MHz band.
