The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India?s (TRAI) recommendations on the auction of spectrum continue to face difficulties.
After all operators expressed their concerns on the recommendations, the Axiata Group is reconsidering its investments in the country, say news reports.
Specifically, the company, which had invested about Rs 75 billion for a 20 per cent stake in Idea Cellular, may not provide fresh equity in the company.
This is because the company feels that the regulator?s recommendations may adversely impact the foreign direct investment flowing into the telecom space.
