Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL) has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Startup Hub to support technology innovation and the sustainable growth of Indian start-ups. AISPL sells and markets Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services in India.

Under the partnership, AWS and MeitY Startup Hub will team up to identify start-ups with deep technology capabilities, and enable them to develop solutions that address the biggest problems facing Indian society.

Through the AWS Startup Ramp programme, start-ups will gain access to AWS Credits, a community of experts, technical training and support covering cloud architecture, cost optimisation, security, and scalability readiness.

In addition to AWS Credits, startup companies will receive training and support on cloud architecture, cost optimisation, security, and scalability readiness through AWS Startup Ramp, it added.

To assist start-ups focused on the public sector, MeitY Startup Hub will facilitate and organise government-backed innovation challenges.

In addition, the collaboration will enable startups as well as incubators and accelerators to curate and run startup acceleration programmes with AWS.

Initially, the collaboration will focus on start-ups in healthcare, agriculture, public safety, transportation, smart cities, and citizen engagement.
