Enterprise messaging application developer, Avaamo, has raised $6.3 million (Rs 380 million) in early stage (seed) round of funding. The investors are China-based firm WI Harper Group and US-based companies Rembrandt Ventures Partners, Streamlined Ventures, Eleven Two Capital and Ovo Fund. Avaamo is registered in the US and has its research and development (R&D) operations in Bangalore.

The company is planning to use the funds to develop its technology and to expand its footprints in India, China and other emerging markets. The Avaamo app allows employees of a company to share work and office-related details with security, data protection and administration features that can be accessed and controlled by the company. It is currently available on Google Play store and will soon be available on the Apple store.
