Taiwan-based tablet manufacturer Asus plans to grow its share in the Indian tablet market to 10 per cent by the end of 2014. At present, the company has a three to five per cent share in the tablet market.

To achieve this, Asus plans to expand its product portfolio and retail presence across the country. On the product side, it is looking to launch a range of devices under the FonePad and Transformer Book range.

Further, Asus has also partnered with Google to market the Nexus 7 tablet in the Indian market. Going forward, the company plans to double the number of its exclusive stores from 100 and strengthen its presence in tier II and III towns.
