Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Paolo Dal Pino, chief executive officer (CEO), Telit Cinterion have inaugurated a new surface mount technology (SMT) Line at VVDN Technologies. VVDN Technologies has set up a new and dedicated state-of-the art SMT line to manufacture 4G and 5G connectivity modules as well as data cards for Telit Cinterion.
Telit Cinterion’s decision to manufacture in India will lead to the expansion of business reach and models into India and as the country’s technology industry grows, Telit Cinterion will be able to address the same using “Design and Make in India” solution.
Company stated that its strategy of vertical Integration has given it a unique competitive edge. VVDN with its capability to do printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, mechanical, tooling and molding, die casting, complete production test suite (PTS), pre-compliance certification, and advance cybersecure software and firmware flashing, can mass manufacture the latest and world class electronic products.
Commenting on the launch, Puneet Agarwal, CEO and co-founder, VVDN Technologies, said, “We are honoured that Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Telit Cinterion CEO Mr Paolo Dal Pino have together inaugurated our new SMT line.
