Ashutosh Mishra: Director and Vice-President, Aberdare Technologies Private Limited

With over two decades of diverse experience in the telecom industry, Ashutosh Mishra serves as Director and Vice-President at Aberdare Technologies Private Limited. Having joined the company in 2021, he has played a pivotal role in establishing a robust ecosystem in the organisation, expanding its presence not only across India but also in Southeast Asia, the European Union (EU) and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) regions. Amidst a challenging market environment for the Indian optical fibre cable (OFC) sector, his leadership has been instrumental in navigating supply-side constraints, evolving customer demands and market redirection due to recent anti-dumping duties in the EU.

At Aberdare, Mishra’s primary focus has been on innovation, integration and creation of a value-driven framework for all stakeholders — customers, partners, employees and vendors alike. Under his direction, the company has implemented a transparent process management system that optimises delivery timelines, while ensuring top-tier customer satisfaction. With an eye on future growth, he is also steering the evaluation of capacity enhancement initiatives and exploring expansion into emerging markets.

Mishra brings with him a 360-degree view of the telecom landscape, having worked with a number of reputed organisations including West Coast Optilinks, Apar Industries, Microqual Techno, Reychem RPG and BCH Electric. His people-oriented leadership style blends collaboration, vision and empathy — fostering a work culture that emphasises ethical governance, inclusive growth and stakeholder empowerment.

Looking ahead, Mishra foresees a resurgence in the Indian OFC market, especially as only 25–30 per cent of the telecom towers are currently fibre-connected. With the increasing demand from internet service providers and upcoming technologies such as 5G and 6G, he anticipates a strong growth in both domestic and global fibre deployment in the coming years.

His leadership continues to reflect a deep commitment to collective progress, sustainable growth and meaningful societal contribution. “I have been focusing all along on the development of a healthy ecosystem. I am dedicated to developing healthy partners/vendors and support them in healthy pricing, timely payment and other personal support wherever possible”, he opines.

An MBA with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology, Mishra lives in Mumbai with his wife and two children, while maintaining close ties with his family in Bihar. Outside work, Mishra is an ardent supporter of community service and sustainability.
