Ascom has announced a fully integrated range of new solutions and product enhancements to reduce the cost and time of deploying and optimising wireless networks. Ascom’s Test Mobile System (TEMS) portfolio offers radical improvements in data collection, analytics, and the overall workflow of a network engineering team spread across fields and offices.
For data collection and analysis, Ascom has launched a drive tester module for TEMS Investigation. The drive tester is a new intuitive data collection solution for the use of TEMS Investigation by non-experts, designed to automate work processes and reduce the complexity and the training needed for drive testing, and reducing the error rate, the number of site visits, and the cost. For design and optimisation, Ascom has introduced TEMS iBuildNet, the industry’s first HetNet solution built for both indoor and outdoor pedestrian networks, and enhanced features for near-real-time access to statistical key performance indicators.
Further, for planning and real-time coordination of teams in the field, Ascom has launched TEM FleetManager, a cloud-based tool that enables managers to remotely distribute work instructions, view test progress and results in real time, and interact with field operations from anywhere in the world. Already in use with TEM Automatic, TEMS FleetManager has demonstrated large cost reductions in drive testing and is now available for use with TEMS Investigation, TEMS Pocket and TEMS Symphony.
