As part of its plans to launch 4G services globally, RCOM, through its wholly owned subsidiary Reliance Globalcom, has acquired eWaves, a UK-based 4G service provider. While the company has not disclosed the financial details yet citing a silent period ahead of fourth quarter results, the acquisition has been funded through internal accruals. Meanwhile, RCOM plans to invest $500 million over the next two to three years on expanding its Wi-Max operations, including voice services in 50 countries, with a focus on emerging markets.
