As per a study conducted by cybersecurity firm, Forcepoint and Frost & Sullivan, cyber attacks are increasingly hindering the digital transformation journey of Indian organisations.
The study revealed that 95 per cent of organisations have embarked on a digital transformation journey. Out of this, 61 per cent respondents are obstructed in their digitalisation progress by the risk of cyber attacks.
Around, 46 per cent organisations that have begun executing their digital transformation projects, have encountered a security incident and 20 per cent did not conduct breach assessment regularly in the last 12 months.
Meanwhile, only 18 per cent respondents considered cyber security at the early stages of the digital transformation projects.
As per the study, nearly 76 per cent of businesses in India have adopted cloud computing, exposing them to higher risk with 47 per cent of them having encountered significant security incident within the span of 12 months.
The study was conducted on 100 organisations across India.
