Aramco Digital has reportedly appointed Tareq Amin as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Amin was previously the chief executive of Rakuten Mobile and its open radio access network (O-RAN) vendor Rakuten Symphony.
In his newrole, Amin is likely to focus heavily on private 5G network developments and collaboration with Samsung. However, the full scope of the role, including Aramco Digital’s plans, is yet to be revealed.
