Apple has rendered financial support to around 500 of its exclusive stores in India to help them meet their various financial obligations. The amount paid by Apple to the stores will help them cover two months of their rent and salaries for store staff.
In addition, Apple is also providing additional credit period of 60 days to help them tide over business disruptions caused due to COVID-19.
Apple has said that it has paid some amount to all its Apple premium reseller partners who run the large-format stores and Apple retail outlets which are smaller exclusive outlets.
Moreover, Apple has asked partners to explore and improve alternative channels to distribute Apple products, including online.
Further, Apple has offered multi-brand retail stores an additional payment period of 30 days.
