Bengaluru-based mobile applications developer Appdra Software Solutions has raised $1.5 million in Series A round of funding through Becovillage, a US-based crowd funding platform. Appdra, an app development startup founded in 2012 by Raghavendra Prasad and Narendra Yallabandi, develops and designs web and internet applications and also provides Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services.

The investors participating in the first round of funding include John Harris, founder of International Barter Business. The funds will be used to increase the client base in US and Europe. The company will also launch School-Bag, an application to integrate all notebooks, question banks and revision notes into a smart device, along with a property search portal called Gharbook.com.

Appdra has 25 employees currently and intends to increase the headcount to 40. The company asserts that it has worked for 25 clients including Arryit Solutions and Cloud Shift IT services.
