Antaris, a software platform provider for space and GalaxEye, homegrown imaging satellite operator, have inked a pact to develop an earth observation satellite that will have synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and optical sensors.
Under the terms of the agreement, Antaris will provide the software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology platform required to design, simulate, build and manage the earth observation satellite from GalaxEye and its onboard ‘Drishti’ sensor. In addition, Ananth Technologies will provide assembly, integration and test (AIT) services and manufacturing capabilities.
According to the companies, SAR and optical data captured by the satellite will help in improving the ability to correlate the data and its analytical utility. Meanwhile, the satellite is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter (Q4) FY’2022-23.
