Anritsu Corporation has launched the ultraportable Site Master S331P. It provides wireless operators and contractors, DAS installers, and public safety network installers and maintenance professionals with a pocket-sized headless cable and antenna analyzer that can measure unlicensed long term evolution (LTE-U) frequencies. Two models of the new product covering 150 kHz to 4 GHz and 150 kHz to 6 GHz frequencies respectively are available. The wide bandwidth capability of the product establishes the S331P as an ultraportable cable and antenna analyzer that can support low frequency environments, including public safety networks as well as higher frequency applications, such as LTE-U, in the 5 GHz unlicensed spectrum. Moreover, it has a sweep speed of 500 µs/data point that enables efficient testing.
It features an integrated help function to aid users in making measurements as well as a classic mode of operation. It also has the advanced mode feature, which has an innovative graphic user interface with a modern button layout and functionality. The S331P comes with an N(m) connector for easy direct connection to N(f) devices, which eliminates the need for phase stable cables. In addition, it is highly durable and reliable, and features a housing that is impact, dust and splash resistant. It is externally controlled and powered via a USB from a user-supplied Windows tablet or laptop, which eliminates the need for a battery.
