Anritsu Corporation has released its new SmartStudio NR IP Performance MX800071A software for the radio communication test station MT8000A supporting efficient 5G user equipment (UE) data throughput tests.
5G is widely used for applications such as the last-mile (from the nearest base station to the subscriber building) of fixed wireless access (FWA). Anritsu developed the MX800071A to simplify and optimise data throughput tests required for the development of customer premises equipment (CPE) that is 5G UE for FWA.
Anritsu solutions help to optimise the test efficiency of various 5G UEs, including CPE.
Increased demand for remote working, home entertainment, etc., is driving 5G use cases featuring high-speed, large-capacity communications. 5G wireless communication applications such as FWA are one of the most successful use cases. Development of CPE for FWA and wireless communication modules built in CPE requires data throughput testing using various sets of communication parameters. However, developers face difficulties with settings that require specialist knowledge, which decreases development efficiency and increases development costs. The MX800071A solves these issues by simplifying and optimising complex parameter settings, helping increase the test efficiency.
Product outline and features
Support for various tests with base station simulator
The MX800071A can configure a 4G and 5G standalone networking and non-standalone networking architecture (SA/NSA) radio environment with the base station simulator for testing data throughput.
Easy-to-set test parameters eliminate the need for specialist knowledge of complex protocols.
High connection reliability
The MX800071A has been tested with a wide range of 4G and 5G modem chipsets and wireless communication modules to assure excellent connectivity with most 4G and 5G UEs.
