Anritsu Corporation has introduced a 100G multirate module for its Network Master Pro MT1000A tester that supports interface rates from 10 Mbps to 100 Gbps. The module also supports technologies such as Ethernet, optical transport networks (OTNs), synchronous digital hierarchy or synchronous optical network, fibre channel and common public radio interface (CPRI) or the open base station architecture initiative. According to Anritsu, the new 100G module can be integrated with the existing optical time domain reflectometer and CPRI RF modules into the MT1000A mainframe. This provides field engineers and technicians with a hand-held solution that covers all their current testing needs associated with data centre, core, metro, access, and mobile backhaul and fronthaul networks.

Further, installing the 100G module in the Network Master Pro supports more interface standards than any other hand-held transport tester in the market. Its flexible design supports single and dual-port configurations with field upgradability across testing technologies to provide a simple upgrade path when necessary. It also provides OTN mappings to client signals, including three levels of outdoor unit multistage mappings. Moreover, the comprehensive test capability allows engineers and technicians to keep pace with emerging networking requirements.
