Anritsu has partnered with Bluetest AB to launch the 5G new radio (NR) over-the-air (OTA) measurement solution. This solution has integrated Anritsu’s radio communication test station MT8000A and Bluetest’s OTA reverberation test system RTS65. The collaboration will enable existing customers to upgrade their LTE solutions with 5G support.
Moreover, the two entities will provide compact integrated solutions with shorter test times to support a wide range of frequency bands at reasonable costs and with easier set-ups. This is because the upcoming 5G services will use the sub-6 GHz and mmWave bands. 3GPP has also recommended using OTA call connections for mmWave band tests, which require an OTA radio chamber for stable measurements.
